Doug Ballard has been serving families as a funeral director and embalmer since 1979. He graduated from Lincolnton High School in 1977 and went on to graduate from Gupton Jones College of Mortuary Science in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1979. Doug married his wife, Debi Shields Ballard, in 1986, and together they have one son, Kenan Ballard. He is a member of First United Methodist Church in Lincolnton, North Carolina, and has spent his career dedicated to serving families in his community. Doug enjoys meeting people, spending time with family and friends, and following his favorite sports teams. With more than four decades of experience in funeral service, Doug takes great pride in caring for families and helping them through some of life’s most difficult moments.

Ashley Workman Stoffa

Ashley Workman Stoffa is a licensed Funeral Director, Embalmer, and Crematory Operator who has always called Lincoln County home. A 2009 graduate of West Lincoln High School, Ashley went on to graduate from the Fayetteville Technical Community College Mortuary Science Program in 2012. For Ashley, funeral service has always been about more than planning a service—it’s about caring for people. She enjoys getting to know the families she serves, listening to what matters most to them, and helping them find options that truly fit their needs and wishes. She believes every family deserves compassionate care, honest guidance, and the freedom to create a meaningful tribute for the person they love. After years of working in funeral service, Ashley is especially proud to finally serve families in her hometown and give back to the community that has always been home. Ashley lives in Vale with her husband, Joey Stoffa, and their two sons, Rowen and Tatum. Outside of work, you’ll most often find her spending time with her boys and enjoying whatever adventure the day happens to bring.
